this is probably a silly question, but we have recently set up a forum on another provider but are having major crash problems so before we get too much content or members we are wanting to move to here and have registered our site, but can we sort transfer the content or the entire forum to work on here or do we have to start from scratch?

total newby to forums and their setting up so if i could have a really simple answer

sorry for the late reply, i have passed your response onto the person that set the forum up, we are both forum virgins so hopefully we can get back to you with the information you require, we are definately on phpbbh3 its just looking into the back up that we need to find out and how to do it.

would the forum be seen as it is now or would it take on a different appearance, and would members need to be contacted directly to tell them the new address or would it redirect sorry like i said we are a little stupid

whats your old forums url?

well for notifing of new adress you have 4 choices

1) i could get you a bbcode that would redirect them to your new forum depending on your host

2) you could post a message on your old forum saying your moving

3) you could use the mass mail on your old forums acp (depending on your host) to tell them your new url

4) you could contact them directly if you wanted

____________________________________________________

for looks it would depend on what theme your using on your old forum (if we have it or not)

____

for backing up if you tell me who your host is i can help you find out how to back up your forum

sorry for the long delay in reposting, it has taken that long to get a backup from our existing hosts. i have sent an email as requested above but should the back up not be an attached file to pass onto yourselves as all thats come back are a series of instructions which i have copied and pasted into the support email? just noticed the rar file at the bottom, should you require anything further please let me know as this is all rocket science to me

If you have pre-existing conditions, which is treated is being treated on the NHS, what happens when you move to the US, would Health insurers cover these pre-existing conditions, and I guess it would be expensive as well ?
