server migration

Postby sander » 14 Feb 2009, 13:32

Thursday evening / friday morning we start with the forum migration.
(februari 19)
Possible downtime is expected because of the change of nameservers.

Why do we move to another server?
Performance (europe based server)
Automatic backups on another server

How much down time do you expect? How long should it take to complete the migration?

Hope it goes smoothly and thanks for your hard work Sander!

http://firefoods.phpbbhosts.co.uk/ is up and running.
Is up and running.

Problem is some sql errors.
So I upload 100mb SQL database, 1 error.
Fix the error or skip fpr later and investigation and upload the other 60 MB.

And so on...

4 databases are finished, 4 to go.
